### How To Teach Number Recognition With Number Mazes 0-20

Our Mazes are excellent number recognition games for Preschool, Kindergarten and First Graders. Your kids will just love trying to make a pathway through each maze by following the number trail.

The number mazes have been carefully constructed using letters and digits that are have similar characteristics.  This makes the number recognition games more challenging and will require your students to pay close attention so that they don’t make a mistake in identifying each number.

These math mazes give students the opportunity to focus closely on the visual structure of each symbol. The games encourage the kids to notice how the numbers or letters are  similar or different. The result is confident learners who can accurately identify, recognise & name numbers 0-20! RESULT!

Once printed, laminate the mazes or use a reusable dry erase pocket so they can be used again and again in your math centers.

### Number Books 0-20

We have included a student cover page in the pack so that you can create individual student number books. Just select the ‘print booklet’ option in the print menu for a mini number mazes book for every student in your class.

To differentiate the mazes  for your students’ needs just select appropriate number ranges in the page ranges section of the print menu, it’s up to you.

Game 1: Number Find 1-6 – For Number Recognition & Subitizing

• Students can play in pairs or independently
• To play roll a six sided dot dice. The student dots one of the matching digits. Play continues until all the numbers have been found.

Game 2: Number Find 1-6 – For Number Recognition & Simple Addition or Subtraction

• Students can play in pairs or independently
• To play roll a 12 sided dice.  The student dots one of the matching digits. Play continues until all the numbers have been found.
• If using 2 six sided dice roll the dice and either add or subtract. Find the total on the sheet. Play continues until all the numbers have been found.
